Association of Florida, Inc!
Incorporated in 1998, the St. Kitts and Nevis Association of Florida, Inc. (SNAF) governed by a volunteer Board of Directors is a non-for-profit (501 C3) Tax Exempt Organization that seeks to strengthen the St. Kitts and Nevis Community in Florida; establish cooperative partnerships with other groups and communities within the state of Florida, and further the development and international awareness of the two-island Federation through programs that focus on healthcare, education, sports and culture. The Association cultivates economic and cultural linkages between Florida and the Federation. SNAF also promotes institutions of higher learning by disseminating information, hosting seminars and raising funds for scholarships.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Association of Florida offers a variety of special events during the year, some of which help to raise money for the association. Every year in September, several hundred people attend our Annual Independence Dinner and Ball. In March and October of each year, the St. Kitts and Nevis Association participates in Unite-A-Fest and the Miami/Broward Carnival. The association hosts its annual Membership Banquet and Family Picnic in May and July respectively. A scholarship Fund was established to assist college/university students. In keeping with its mission, the organization donated books, toys, educational materials and medical supplies to the hospitals and schools in St. Kitts and Nevis.
